Just a small collection of photos from my holiday in Australia, on the Gold Coast.

Awesome hot-pot I had in Aussie whilst on holiday. Consisted of noodles, tofu, fresh vegetables, and a spicy broth. Was very filling, and only cost $10! Was a very happy tourist.

Time to go.

Heading to Aussie tomorrow for a holiday for one week. I’m really excited, and my hotel (as I’ve said before) has a gym! So no excuses for not working out.

Did a rather large (and enjoyable) workout today. Decided to take it easy and go on the elliptical instead of the treadmill today. Burned about 500 cal in 25 minutes there- then did my leg weight training for another 40 minutes. Also biked to and from work today, which added up to about 14kms. All in all, a successful day!

This time tomorrow, I will be on a beach somewhere along the Gold Coast. Ahh!!

Awww!

Awww!

Holiday in Aussie, exercise places?

To all those who live in (or around) the Gold Coast: where is a great place to go for a scenic run? I’ve sorted all of my activities for the week, but am wanting a nice area to run around when I get there.

So excited!

Exercising after weight training?

So I’ve been fairly diligent with my workouts over this past month and a half, with cardio on most days, and weight training every other day. Yesterday I went a bit too hard (with my weight training) and now my calf muscles are quite sore. They don’t hurt when I walk, but they are tender to the touch, and hurt when I extend them. Should I do my cardio today, or leave it for tomorrow? I was apprehensive about doing cardio this morning, so I did some weight training with my upper body instead.

Working out while on holiday.

Ah!! Just found out that the hotel I’m staying at in Aussie has a gym!! I was worried about how I was going to fit in my workouts whilst on holiday- now I don’t have to worry at all!

I feel like I’m going to die of happiness.

Rest day.

So, after work I’m going to my grandparent’s for the night, haven’t seen them in quite a while so it should be nice.

Had a bit of a struggle this morning (as with any rest day), when packing my things to take to my grandparents, I had to force myself to not pack my running gear. I’m guessing that, since it’s been a month or so since I started, I must have made this a habit, or am slightly addicted.

Either way, it’s definitely a good thing! Quite excited for my Monday workout now :)
